Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Kahel Ventures LLC (doing business as MentorU)

Last updated: October 26, 2026

Written for the Washington My Health My Data Act; it also covers similar laws.

About this policy

This policy explains the limited health-related information that MentorU's Mentor Autopilot feature may infer. It adds to our Privacy Policy.

1. What we collect

When a mentor has Autopilot on, it checks incoming messages for signs that someone may be in danger or in crisis, or is raising a health topic. If it finds one, we record only a category label (for example "crisis") attached to that conversation. We do not make a separate record of the health content, a diagnosis or a profile of the person. The message itself stays in the mentor's workspace, where the mentor already receives it.

To make the check, the text of the message is read by our systems and by the AI service providers that help us classify messages, listed on our Subprocessors page. They process it on our behalf and may not use it to train their models.

2. Where it comes from

Only from messages a person sends to a mentor who uses Autopilot (email, text or in-product message). We do not collect it from anywhere else.

3. Why we use it

Only to (a) pause automated messages to that person and (b) alert the mentor so the mentor can respond. We do not use it for advertising, marketing, profiling, pricing or any other purpose.

4. How long we keep it

No longer than 30 days after the mentor resolves the alert. Then the category label is deleted.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share the category label only with:

  • the mentor whose workspace received the message, so the mentor can respond; and
  • service providers that host our systems and process data for us under contract (hosting and database providers, and the AI service providers described above).

We may also disclose it if the law requires, or to protect someone's safety.

6. Your rights

If you live in Washington, or another place with similar rights, you may:

  • confirm whether we collect or hold consumer health data about you;
  • see it, including a list of the third parties and affiliates we shared it with;
  • withdraw consent you gave for its collection or use;
  • ask us to delete it. We will delete it from our active systems and tell our service providers to delete it, and we remove it from backups on our normal backup cycle, within the time the law allows.

Contact support@mentoru.app with "Consumer health data" in the subject. We may need to confirm who you are. We respond within 45 days, and may extend by another 45 days when the law allows and we tell you why. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal". We answer appeals within 45 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Washington Attorney General.

7. Consent

Washington residents: we treat this limited check as necessary to provide the automation and safety features the mentor asked for. We do not collect or share consumer health data for any other purpose without your consent.

8. What this check is not

It is not a medical service, a diagnosis or a crisis service. It can miss messages and can flag messages that are not crises. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. In the US you can also call or text 988.
